Prepare Ingredients

    Prepare the Shrimp

    In a pot of boiling water, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Remove and set aside.

    Prepare the Noodles

    In the same pot, cook the saimin noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Make the Soup Base

    Combine Ingredients

    In a large pot, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

    Add Shrimp

    Add the cooked shrimp to the pot and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Assemble the Dish

    Add Noodles

    Divide the cooked saimin noodles into serving bowls.

    Ladle Soup

    Ladle the shrimp soup base over the noodles in each bowl.

    Add Toppings

    Top each bowl with sliced char siu pork, fish cake, and additional chopped green onions.
