Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a mixing bowl, season the shrimp with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Breading Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp in flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Fry the Shrimp

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded shrimp in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Teriyaki Chicken Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger.

  2. 6

    Marinate the Chicken

Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag or bowl, and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the bowl, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.

  3. 7

    Cook the Chicken

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the marinated chicken thighs for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and caramelized.

  4. 8

    Slice and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the pan, slice it, and arrange it on the plate alongside the breaded shrimp. Garnish with sliced green onions.
