Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then sprinkle both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450-500°F (232-260°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your preferred doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to your desired fry thickness.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, place a portion of fries alongside the sliced grilled steak.

  2. 10

    Add Toppings

Top the steak with shredded cheese, and serve with a side of sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo.
