Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Turkey Patty Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.
Cooking
- 3
Cook the Patties
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 4
Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt.
Assembly
- 5
Prepare the Green Pepper
While the patties are cooking, slice the green bell pepper into thin strips.
- 6
Assemble the Burger
Once the patties are cooked and the cheese is melted, slice the ciabatta rolls in half. Place each turkey patty on the bottom half of the roll, top with sliced green peppers, and then place the top half of the roll over it.
