Method
Wrap/Pita Directions
- 1
Prepare the Tuna Salad
In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped celery, finely chopped red onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 2
Assemble the Wraps
Take a whole wheat pita or tortilla and open it gently. Place a lettuce leaf inside, followed by a generous scoop of the tuna salad. Add slices of tomato on top.
- 3
Close the Wrap
Fold the pita or tortilla over the filling to create a wrap. You can also cut it in half for easier handling.
French Fries Directions
- 4
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping in a small piece of potato; it should sizzle immediately.
- 6
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the cut fries to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- 7
Drain and Season
Once cooked, remove the fries with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle salt over the hot fries to taste.
