Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a large grill or skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Cooking the Vegetables

  1. 3

    Cook the Onions and Peppers

Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.

  2. 4

    Add the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes until all vegetables are tender and caramelized.

Assembling the Wrap/Pita

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

Take a piece of pita or wrap and layer the sautéed vegetables evenly. Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese over the top.

  2. 6

    Fold and Secure

Fold the wrap or pita over the filling, securing it tightly.

  3. 7

    Grill the Wrap

Return the filled wrap to the skillet over medium heat. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the cheese is melted and the wrap is golden brown.

Cooking French Fries

  1. 8

    Prepare the French Fries

Cook the frozen French fries according to package instructions. Usually, this involves baking or frying them until golden and crispy.

  2. 9

    Season the Fries

Once cooked, remove from heat and season with salt to taste.

Serving

  1. 10

    Serve the Dish

Serve the grilled Philly steak wraps/pitas with a side of crispy French fries.
