French Fries Ingredients
Method
Wrap/Pita Preparation
- 1
Cook the Chicken Tenders
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken tenders on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
- 2
Prepare the Pitas/Wrappers
While the chicken is baking, prepare the pita bread or wraps. If using pita, warm them in the oven for the last 5 minutes of the chicken baking time to make them pliable.
- 3
Assemble the Wraps
Once the chicken tenders are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Slice the chicken into strips. Take a pita or wrap, layer with shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and chicken strips. Top with shredded cheese. Roll tightly or fold the pita over to enclose the filling.
French Fries Preparation
- 4
Fry the French Fries
In a deep pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the frozen French fries in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 5
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste. Toss gently to ensure even seasoning.
