Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the meat

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon, ham, or sausage until fully cooked and crispy. If using bacon or sausage, it usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the eggs

In the same skillet, add butter or oil. Crack the eggs into the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook to your desired doneness (scrambled or fried). For scrambled eggs, stir gently until set, about 3-4 minutes. For fried eggs, cook until the whites are set and the yolks are still runny, about 3 minutes.

  3. 3

    Melt the cheese

When the eggs are almost done, place a slice of American cheese on top of each egg and cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread or English muffin until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the sandwich

On one slice of toasted bread, place the cooked meat, followed by the cheesy egg. Top with the other slice of bread or the top half of the English muffin.

  2. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half if desired, serve hot, and enjoy!
