Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Soak the Korean rice cakes in warm water for about 10-15 minutes if they are hard. Slice the fish cakes into bite-sized pieces, chop the cabbage into strips, slice the green onions, and julienne the carrot.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a bowl, combine the gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and minced garlic. Mix well to create a thick paste.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Stir-Fry the Ingredients

In a large pan or wok, bring the 400 ml of water to a boil. Add the soaked rice cakes and cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.

  2. 4

    Add Vegetables and Fish Cakes

Add the sliced fish cakes, cabbage, carrot, and the prepared sauce to the pan. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce.

  3. 5

    Finish Cooking

Continue to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the vegetables are tender. Add the sliced green onions just before serving.
