Method

Preparation of Fish

  1. 1

    Season the Swordfish

Rub the swordfish steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Heat the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Swordfish

Place the seasoned swordfish steaks on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Preparation of Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add White Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the wine reduces by half.

  3. 6

    Stir in Cream and Dill

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and chopped dill. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. 7

    Finish with Lemon Juice

Add lemon juice to the sauce, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Place the cooked swordfish steaks on a serving plate and spoon the white wine dill sauce generously over the top.

  2. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional fresh dill if desired and serve immediately.
