Frittata Ingredients

Method

Frittata Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large oven-safe skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then chop into pieces.

  2. 2

    Caramelize the Onions

In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sliced onions. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 15-20 minutes).

  3. 3

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the chopped bacon, caramelized onions, and halved grape tomatoes to the egg mixture. Stir in fresh basil.

  5. 5

    Cook the Frittata

Pour the mixture back into the skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes until the edges start to set.

  6. 6

    Bake

Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until the frittata is fully set.

  7. 7

    Serve

Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
