In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. Whisk until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Refrigerate until serving.

Prepare the Squid
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the squid rings in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Fry or Grill the Squid
For frying: Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the squid rings for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. For grilling: Preheat the grill to medium-high, brush the squid with olive oil, and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through.

Serve the fried or grilled squid with garlic aioli and marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
