Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.

  2. 2

    Make the Glaze

In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Apply the Glaze

Place the ham in a roasting pan. Brush the glaze generously over the scored surface of the ham, making sure to get it into the cuts.

  4. 4

    Add Water

Pour water into the bottom of the roasting pan to keep the ham moist during cooking.

  5. 5

    Roast the Ham

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes.

  6. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize. Once the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), remove the ham from the oven. Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
