Instructions

  1. 1

    Brew the Tea

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  2. 2

    Sweeten the Tea (optional)

If you prefer sweet tea, stir in 1/2 cup of sugar while the tea is still warm. Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. 3

    Cool the Tea

Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature. Once cooled, transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour.

  4. 4

    Serve

To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.
