Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and ground cumin. Mix well to create a marinade.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Place the pork tenderloin in a zip-lock bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably up to 2 hours.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Sear the Pork
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade and sear it on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side).
- 5
Roast the Pork
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the pork for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- 6
Prepare the Napa Cabbage and Red Onion
While the pork is roasting, thinly slice the red onion and chop the napa cabbage. In a large bowl, combine the napa cabbage and red onion.
