Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, and black pepper. This will be used to marinate the salmon.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure both sides are coated evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Vegetables

While the salmon is marinating, dice the sweet pepper and slice the red onion into thin rings.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  5. 5

    Grill the Salmon

Once the grill is hot, place the marinated salmon fillets on the grill skin-side down. Grill for about 5-6 minutes, then carefully flip and grill for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 6

    Grill the Vegetables

While the salmon is grilling, place the diced sweet pepper and sliced red onion on a grill-safe vegetable basket or foil. Drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill alongside the salmon for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly charred.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove the grilled salmon and vegetables from the grill. Drizzle the zhoug sauce over the salmon and serve with the grilled vegetables on the side.
