For the Crispy Deviled Eggs

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil, then cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.

  2. 2

    Peel and Halve the Eggs

After the eggs have cooled in an ice bath, peel the shells and slice the eggs in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  4. 4

    Fill the Egg Whites

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.

  5. 5

    Coat with Panko

Dip each filled egg half in panko breadcrumbs to coat.

  6. 6

    Fry the Eggs

Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the coated eggs, cut side down, until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and fry the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Whiskey Sauce

While the eggs are frying, prepare your signature 913 whiskey sauce (this can be made separately as per your recipe).

  8. 8

    Serve

Plate the crispy deviled eggs over the whiskey sauce and garnish with crumbled bacon.
