Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Protein

Thinly slice the beef or chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the ong choy, slice the red bell pepper and carrot into thin strips, and mince the garlic.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Stir-Fry the Protein

In a large pan or wok, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef or chicken and stir-fry until cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add Vegetables

Add the garlic, red bell pepper, and carrot to the pan. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  3. 5

    Add Ong Choy

Add the ong choy to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until wilted.

  4. 6

    Prepare Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried ingredients and mix well.

  5. 7

    Optional Noodles

If using cake noodles, prepare them according to package instructions while cooking the vegetables, and serve them on the side or mix them in.

Serving

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the beef or chicken ong choy hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
