Fries

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into fries of your desired thickness.

  2. 2

    Soak the Fries

Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and dry thoroughly.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add a batch of fries to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Season the Fries

While hot, season the fries with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve Hot

Serve the fries immediately while they're hot and crispy.
