Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Burger Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

3

Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. If using cheese, place it on top of the patties in the last minute of cooking to melt.

4

Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

5

Assemble the Burgers

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Add lettuce, the cooked burger patty, tomato slices, onion slices, and ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.

6

Serve

Serve the Zia Burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes.
