Prepare the crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crust ingredients and press them into the bottom of a pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and allow to cool completely.
Make the chocolate filling
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar and cocoa powder, mixing well. Then add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, continuing to beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Combine and chill
Fold in the chocolate chips into the chocolate filling mixture. Pour the mixture into the cooled chocolate cookie crust, smoothing the top. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
Serve
Once set, top with whipped cream and chopped nuts if desired. Slice and serve chilled.
