Method
Burger Patty Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine the Wagyu ground beef with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties that are slightly larger than the buns, making an indentation in the center of each patty.
Cooking the Burger
- 3
Cook the Patties
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties on the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (medium).
Brioche Bun Preparation
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, heat a separate skillet over medium heat. Spread unsalted butter on the cut sides of the brioche buns. Place the buns buttered-side down in the skillet and toast until golden brown.
