Method

Popcorn Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour in one, the cornstarch in another, and whisk together the eggs and milk in the last bowl.

  3. 3

    Season the Breading

Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to the flour and mix well.

  4. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each piece of chicken first into the flour mixture, followed by the egg mixture, and finally coat with cornstarch.

  5. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  6. 6

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the breaded chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Seasoned Tots

  1. 7

    Bake the Tots

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen tater tots package. Spread the tots on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  2. 8

    Season the Tots

Sprinkle the tots with salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.

  3. 9

    Cook the Tots

Bake the seasoned tater tots according to package instructions, usually around 20-25 minutes, until crispy and golden.
