Hot Dogs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Hot Dogs

Begin by grilling or boiling the beef hot dogs according to your preference until they are heated through and slightly browned. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Buns

While the hot dogs are cooking, warm the hot dog buns on the grill or in a microwave for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until they are soft and warm.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

Dice the onion and tomato. Set aside the yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, whole pickles, and sport peppers.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Chicago Dog

Place a hot dog in each warm bun. Top each hot dog with a generous squeeze of yellow mustard, followed by the diced onion, sweet pickle relish, and diced tomato.

  2. 5

    Finish with Pickles and Seasoning

Add one whole pickle and one sport pepper on top of each hot dog. Finally, sprinkle a pinch of celery salt over the top to enhance the flavors.
