Cooking Shrimp

Prepare the Cooking Liquid
In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning.

Cook the Shrimp
Once the water is boiling, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and place them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process.

Drain and Chill
After the shrimp have cooled, drain them and toss with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 cup of lemon juice. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
Making the Cocktail Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of hot sauce, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Mix Well
Stir all the ingredients together until fully combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Plating the Dish

Arrange the Shrimp
On a large serving platter or individual plates, arrange the marinated shrimp in a circle or in an attractive manner.

Add Garnishes
Garnish the shrimp with lemon wedges and a handful of baby greens for a fresh touch.

Serve with Sauce
Serve the shrimp cocktail with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
