Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press the mint leaves to release their oils, mixing them with the sugar. Avoid tearing the leaves too much to prevent a bitter taste.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass with the mint and sugar mixture. Reserve the other half for garnishing later. If desired, you can also add the juiced half into the glass for additional flavor.

  3. 3

    Add the Rum

Pour the white rum into the mixture and stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, making sure to leave some space at the top for the club soda.

  5. 5

    Top with Club Soda

Pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is filled. Stir gently to combine, ensuring that the mint, sugar, and rum are well mixed with the soda.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with lime wedges and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately with a straw for sipping, and enjoy your refreshing mojito!
