Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Protein
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey and chicken liver. Cook until the turkey is browned and the liver is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 2
Cook the Grains
In a separate pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the brown rice and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cooking the Vegetables
- 3
Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet with the cooked protein, add the diced carrots, chopped green beans, and diced sweet potatoes. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
Mixing and Final Touches
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Once the vegetables are cooked, add the cooked brown rice to the skillet and mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
- 5
Add Fats and Supplements
Pour in the fish oil and sprinkle the calcium supplement and multivitamin over the mixture. Stir well to ensure they are evenly distributed.
- 6
Add Parsley
Finally, fold in the chopped parsley for added flavor and nutrition. Mix well.
Serving
- 7
Cool and Serve
Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before serving it to your Great Dane. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
