Method
Coffee & Whiskey

- 2
Add the packed brown sugar to the warmed glass.
- 3
Pour in the hot brewed coffee (about 6 oz) over the brown sugar, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 4
Stir in the Jameson Irish Whiskey (1.5 oz) gently to combine.

Prepare the whipped cream
Place the cold heavy cream (about 2 tablespoons) into a small bowl. Add the optional 1 tsp granulated sugar if you want lightly sweetened cream. Whip by hand with a fork or with a small whisk until soft peaks form — the cream should be pourable but hold a little shape (do not overwhip).
- 6
Spoon or gently pour the whipped cream over the back of a warm spoon so it floats on top of the hot coffee mixture, creating a distinct layer.
Garnish & Serve
- 7
Optional: Lightly dust the cream with a small pinch (about 1/4 tsp) of freshly grated nutmeg or cocoa powder for aroma and presentation.
- 8
Serve immediately while hot. Instruct guests to sip the coffee through the cream to experience the traditional contrast of hot coffee and cool cream.
