Preparation

1

Chill the Glass

Begin by chilling an Old Fashioned glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour in 2 oz of Blanton's Bourbon, 1 oz of Sweet Vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters.

3

Stir

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

4

Strain

Empty the ice water from the chilled Old Fashioned glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass over a large ice cube.

5

Garnish

Twist a piece of orange peel over the cocktail to release its oils, then drop it into the drink. Finally, add a Maraschino Cherry on top for garnish.
