Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass
Fill a highball or copper mule mug with crushed ice to chill while you build the cocktail.
Mix base
In a shaker (no need to add ice) or mixing glass, combine 2 oz vodka, 1 oz passion fruit liqueur, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 2 dashes Bittermens Tiki Bitters. Briefly stir or gently shake (5–7 seconds) to combine and slightly chill the mixture.
Assemble
Dump the excess ice from the chilled glass if it has melted significantly, then refill with fresh crushed ice. Strain the mixed base over the crushed ice.
Top and finish
Top the drink with about 4 oz chilled ginger beer. Give the cocktail one gentle stir (1–2 rotations) to integrate the ginger beer without flattening carbonation.
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. If using, spoon 1/2 tablespoon fresh passion fruit pulp onto the top for aroma and visual appeal. Serve with a short straw or stirrer.
Enjoy: The Missouri Mule balances clean vodka with bright passion fruit and tropical bitters, the lime brightens and ginger beer provides effervescence and spice.
