1

Muddle

In a mixing glass or small shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and simple syrup. Gently muddle 6 of the mint leaves with the syrup to release oils; avoid over-muddling to prevent bitterness.

2

Combine

Add the Maker's 46 bourbon, blueberry puree, and fresh lemon juice to the mixing glass with the muddled mint. Fill the mixing glass halfway with crushed ice.

3

Shake

Cap the shaker or place the mixing glass with a tin and shake vigorously for about 10–12 seconds until well-chilled and slightly diluted.

4

Strain into glass

Fill a rocks glass or short tumbler with fresh crushed ice. Double-strain the cocktail over the crushed ice (use a fine mesh strainer in addition to the shaker strainer) to remove mint bits and blueberry solids for a smooth texture.

5

Garnish & finish

Top with a small handful of additional crushed ice if needed. Gently slap the remaining 2 mint leaves between your palms to release aroma and place a mint sprig on top. Thread 4–6 fresh blueberries on a cocktail pick or drop them into the drink and add a lemon wheel on the rim if desired.

6

Serve

Present immediately with a short stirring straw. Encourage the drinker to lightly stir before sipping to integrate the blueberry puree layer with the bourbon and lemon.
