Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Remove the turkey from the packaging and pat it dry with paper towels. Make sure to remove any giblets from the cavity.

  2. 2

    Season the Turkey

In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub the olive oil over the turkey, then apply the seasoning mixture evenly on the skin and inside the cavity.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Soak the wood chips in water for about 30 minutes, then drain.

  4. 4

    Smoke the Turkey

Place the wood chips in the smoker as per the manufacturer's instructions. Put the turkey in the smoker and cook for about 30 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  5. 5

    Rest and Slice

Once cooked, remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for at least 20 minutes. Slice the turkey thinly and serve by the pound.
