Pickling Brine and Vegetables

Method

Pickling Process

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and slice the cucumbers, carrots, and red onion. Set them aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Brine

In a saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve.

  3. 3

    Add Spices

Add garlic, black peppercorns, dill, mustard seeds, and red pepper flakes to the brine. Remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Pack the Jars

Place the sliced vegetables in clean, sterilized jars. Pour the cooled brine over the vegetables, ensuring they are fully submerged.

  5. 5

    Seal and Refrigerate

Seal the jars tightly and place them in the refrigerator. Let the pickles marinate for at least 24 hours before consuming for best flavor.
