Garlic Butter Sauce

Pasta Preparation

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook the Spaghetti
Add 8 oz of spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Drain the Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside. Reserve some pasta water for later use if needed.

Cook the Shrimp and Scallops
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the shrimp (1 lb) and scallops (1 lb). Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until the shrimp turn pink and the scallops are opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Garlic Butter Sauce

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic (4 cloves) and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Combine Ingredients
Stir in red pepper flakes (1 tsp), lemon juice (2 tbs), chopped parsley (1 tbs), salt (1 tsp), and black pepper (1 tsp). Mix well.

Plate and Serve
Serve the seafood pasta hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired. Enjoy!
