Spring Roll Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little vegetable oil. Season the pork or chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and allow to cool before shredding or slicing into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat, julienned carrots, shredded cabbage, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Spring Rolls

Lay a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly from the bottom up. Seal the edges with a little water. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  4. 4

    Fry the Spring Rolls

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the spring rolls in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the spring rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
