Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. If the shrimp are not already peeled and deveined, do so at this stage.

  2. 2

    Season the Shrimp

In a bowl, sprinkle the shrimp with black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to evenly coat the shrimp with the seasonings.

Wrapping

  1. 3

    Wrap Shrimp in Bacon

Cut the bacon slices in half. Take one seasoned shrimp and wrap it in half a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat this process for all shrimp.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook Wrapped Shrimp

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the wrapped shrimp on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through.

  2. 5

    Drizzle with Barbecue Sauce

In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the barbecue sauce over each shrimp-wrapped piece. Return to the oven to allow the sauce to caramelize slightly.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the shrimp rest for a minute. If desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your shrimp wrapped in bacon drizzled with barbecue sauce!
