Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps in even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness). Remove from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to prepare them for frying.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps in achieving crispy fries.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Fry them in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 8

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic cloves and cook for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt to taste. Remove from heat.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

Slice the grilled ribeye steak against the grain. Serve alongside the crispy French fries, drizzling the garlic butter over the steak and fries for added flavor.
