Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully blended.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

  2. 4

    Heat the Griddle

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of butter or oil.

  3. 5

    Cook the Pancakes

Once the skillet is hot, pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 6

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Serve the pancakes warm with butter and maple syrup on top. Enjoy!
