Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or cast iron pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

  3. 3

    Sear the Steak

Add the seasoned ribeye steak to the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a crust forms.

  4. 4

    Add Aromatics

Flip the steak and add crushed garlic cloves and a sprig of fresh rosemary to the pan. Continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized sticks for uniform cooking.

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

In a bowl, toss the potato sticks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well coated.

  3. 8

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
