Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide. Place them in a bowl and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the seasonings.
- 2
Breading and Frying
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and first coat it in flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken strip with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to the chicken.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small piece of bread in; if it sizzles, the oil is hot enough.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- 6
Drain Excess Oil
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer the chicken tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
