Cocktail

Method

Prep the glass

  1. 1

Run the lime wedge around the rim of a highball or tall pint glass to moisten evenly.

  2. 2

On a small plate, mix the 1 tsp celery salt and optional 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt. Dip the moistened rim into the salt mixture and twist to coat. Set the glass aside.

Mix the cocktail

  1. 3

    Combine base ingredients

In a cocktail shaker or large mixing glass, add 2 oz Smirnoff Vodka, 4 oz Mott's® Clamato® juice, and 1/2 tsp prepared horseradish.

  2. 4

    Add seasoning

Add 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, 3 dashes hot sauce, 1/4 tsp celery salt, 1/8 tsp ground black pepper, and 1/8 tsp smoked paprika (if using).

  3. 5

    Chill and dilute

Fill the shaker or mixing glass with 1 cup of ice. Stir (not shake) vigorously for 15–20 seconds to chill and slightly dilute, ensuring the horseradish and seasonings are fully incorporated.

Finish & serve

  1. 6

Strain the mixture into the prepared rimmed glass filled with fresh ice.

  2. 7

Garnish with the lime wedge and a celery stalk or cooked bacon on the rim or inside the drink as preferred.

  3. 8

Serve immediately. Offer additional hot sauce or celery salt at the table for guests to adjust to taste.
