Strawberry Lemonade (makes about 4 servings)
Strawberry Mango Lemonade (makes about 4 servings)
Method
Strawberry Lemonade
- 1
Make strawberry puree
Place the hulled strawberries and 2 tablespoons of the sugar into a blender or food processor. Add 1/2 cup of water. Blend until very smooth, about 30–45 seconds. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard seeds and pulp left in the sieve.
- 2
Make simple syrup (optional alternative)
If you prefer completely dissolved sugar, combine the remaining 1 tablespoon sugar with 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Warm over medium-low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, about 2–3 minutes. Cool slightly before using. (You can skip this step if you blended the sugar with strawberries and it dissolved.)
- 3
Assemble lemonade
In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree and lemon juice. Add the remaining 3 cups cold water and stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add more water if too strong, or up to 1–2 tablespoons sugar (or simple syrup) if you want it sweeter. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to let flavors meld.

Strawberry Mango Lemonade
- 5
Make fruit puree
Place the hulled strawberries, mango cubes, and 2 tablespoons of the sugar into a blender. Add 1/2 cup water to help blending. Blend until completely smooth, about 45–60 seconds. If a seed-free, silky texture is desired, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing to extract liquid and flavor; discard solids.
- 6
Make simple syrup (optional alternative)
Combine the remaining 1 tablespoon sugar with 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan and warm until the sugar dissolves, 2–3 minutes. Cool slightly. Use this to sweeten if the puree did not dissolve all the sugar.
- 7
Assemble lemonade
In a large pitcher, stir together the fruit puree and lemon juice. Add the remaining 3 cups cold water and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust: add more water if too tart or additional simple syrup (1–2 tablespoons) if sweeter lemonade is desired. Chill for at least 15 minutes.
