Hot Sausage Parm Submarine
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage links and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and slice them into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the marinara sauce, and return the sausage pieces to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- 3
Prepare the Submarine Rolls
While the sauce is simmering, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the submarine rolls in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet.
- 4
Assemble the Subs
Spoon the sausage and sauce mixture generously onto each roll. Top each sub with shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh basil. Serve hot and enjoy your Hot Sausage Parm Submarine!
