Burger Patty

Sauteed Mushrooms

Cheese Toppings

Method

Prepare the Mushrooms

  1. 1

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced mushrooms, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 2

    Form and Cook the Patty

Form the 8 oz of ground chuck into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place the Swiss cheese on top of the patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 3

    Build Your Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. On the bottom bun, place the cooked burger patty with melted Swiss cheese. Top with the sautéed mushrooms and sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the top. Add lettuce, tomato, and onion if using. Finish with the top bun.
