Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the certified chuck beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into four 6 oz patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, and desired amounts of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Hand Cut Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thick strips to form fries.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Season with salt immediately.
