- 1
Prepare the baking dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 2
Melt the butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- 3
Mix wet ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and 1.5 cups of granulated sugar. Whisk together until well combined. Add in the 3 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 0.5 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- 5
Combine wet and dry mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Add hazelnuts and Nutella
Fold in 1 cup of chopped hazelnuts and 0.5 cup of Nutella until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 7
Bake the brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
