Method
Preparation
- 1
Milk Chocolate Truffles
Chop the milk chocolate into small pieces and place it in a bowl. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer, then pour it over the chocolate. Let it sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth. Add vanilla extract and mix well. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.

Dark Chocolate Truffles
Repeat the same process as with the milk chocolate, using dark chocolate instead. If desired, mix in chopped nuts before refrigerating. Allow to firm up for about 2 hours.
- 3
White Chocolate Truffles
Chop the white chocolate and follow the same heating method with heavy cream. Once melted, fold in toasted coconut flakes and chill until firm, about 2 hours.

Forming Truffles
Once the truffle mixtures are firm, use a melon baller or your hands to scoop out small balls. Roll each ball in cocoa powder for milk chocolate, chopped nuts for dark chocolate, or toasted coconut for white chocolate.
