Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash, core, and chop the apples and pears. Remove the stems and leaves from the wild strawberries.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pot, combine the chopped apples, pears, wild strawberries, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Simmer the Mixture

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Then, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 4

    Strain the Cider

Once the fruits are soft and fragrant, remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the solids.

  3. 5

    Cool and Serve

Let the cider cool to room temperature. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with a cinnamon stick if desired.
