Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the striploin steak with olive oil and coat generously with blackening seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

Eggs Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, heat a little butter or oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Mixed Greens Preparation

  1. 4

    Toss the Greens

In a bowl, combine mixed greens with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Toss to coat evenly.

Lime Butter Preparation

  1. 5

    Make Lime Butter

In a small bowl, mix together unsalted butter, lime juice, and lime zest until well combined. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, place the toasted corn bread, mixed greens, and top with the blackened steak. Add the sunny side eggs on the side and drizzle lime butter on top.
