Stuffed Banana Peppers

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the banana peppers and remove the seeds carefully.

  2. 2

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the 5 cheese blend, diced rustic bread, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chopped basil. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Peppers

Fill each banana pepper with the cheese and bread mixture, pressing lightly to pack it in.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Baking

Place the stuffed banana peppers in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake

Drizzle olive oil over the stuffed peppers and cover the baking dish with foil. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  6. 6

    Serve

Let the stuffed banana peppers cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional fresh basil if desired.
